Corrections & Retractions Policy

Our process for promptly addressing and rectifying factual inaccuracies

Accuracy is paramount to NewsFlow. When a factual error occursโ€”whether due to updated source reporting or a transcription discrepancyโ€”we correct it promptly and transparently.

1. Types of Editorial Updates

  • Clarification: Used when content is factually accurate but could be clearer or more complete. An editorial note is appended at the foot of the story.
  • Correction: Used when a factual error (names, numbers, locations, dates, or sequences) is identified. The story is amended and a prominent correction note detailing the change is recorded with an updated timestamp.
  • Retraction: In the rare event that an underlying third-party wire report is officially retracted or found to be fundamentally inaccurate, NewsFlow retracts the story, explaining the retraction rationale clearly to readers.

2. How to Request a Correction

If you identify an error in any published NewsFlow story, please contact our corrections desk at corrections@newsflow.eu with the headline, URL, and verifiable reference.
