A landmark joint initiative uniting academic institutions and high-performance computing centers across France, Germany, and the Netherlands was officially inaugurated today in Paris.
The consortium aims to interconnect existing superconducting and trapped-ion quantum processors through dedicated low-latency optical links, providing European industry and academic researchers with secure quantum-accelerated simulation capabilities.
Funded partially through the Horizon Europe research program, the project marks a significant milestone in Europe's broader drive toward strategic technological autonomy.
